Yeah, I think in general people are getting sick of influencer/celeb brands. It was fun when there were just a few that really aligned with the person, but now Iโ€™m getting annoyed lol

Samee! It's too much! Every other influencer coming up with a new fashion or beauty brand! I don't even know which brand to choose atm! There's a new brand almost every month!

I've always been confused by influencer brands? I mean sure... you have a captive audience, it makes sense. But are they not asking themselves "Do I really need to do this?"... one small misstep can derail all you have worked for (look to Matilda Djerf, Madeleine White). It also feels a tad greedy? Given that most of these brands launched are leaning fast fashion.

Perhaps there is a future where they lend their presence to collaborating with smaller brands, putting their influence to good?

Ahh! They know people will buy anything just to support their favorite influencers. There was a time influencers promoted products they actually liked! And I feel they're not even reliable anymore! Doing anything & everything for ๐Ÿ’ธ

Absolutely obsessed with your take on this! As someone who is building a tequila brand with no internet fame or famous celeb backing itโ€™s refreshing to see the other side of the coin. So many small businesses put countless amounts of hours and love into building their products/brands :) loved this and loved the Apple style announcement, so simple yet effective

Influencers KNOW their audience and can easily find gaps to fill in their market. For example: there is a lack of brands focusing on fungal acne.

They could build a brand to launch products for this skin type but they resort to the same old products that are โ€˜trendingโ€™ because they donโ€™t have enough funds or are pressured by investors. :/
