If you’re a Gen Z or a frequent social media user, you’re probably aware of Rhode.
No?
📌For those who aren't aware,
Rhode is a brand by Hailey Beiber & it’s famous for its skin care products and lip tints.
Today, Rhode is even more famous than Hailey herself. ✨
The whole internet went crazy just to buy Rhode’s Lip Tint, Pocket Blush & even its Phone Case❗️
How did Rhode manage to create such a hype❓
Hailey is actually being a marketing genius.
No, I'm not just talking—I’ve got proof to back it up. 👀
✨Rhode is showcasing some pretty cool marketing tactics:
Mastering the art of FOMO marketing.
Building Scarcity by launching “Limited Edition” products.
Building Community & Experience.
Showing Hailey's face EVERYWHERE.
Building Partnerships -
(Not everyone can make famous people like Kendal Jenner talk about their products!!)Coming up with fun product names. (Toasted Teddy, Spicy Marg, Sleepy Girl)
Well, we know what FOMO can make us do!! Isn’t it?
If you want your product to get noticed, just launch a limited edition and make people worry about missing out. 😉
That's exactly what Hailey did 💯
Rhode's lip tints, pocket blushes, and phone cases were all limited editions - everyone was eager to grab them.
Secondly, building a community of Cool Tiktok Girlies 🌟
Hailey knows exactly where her audience hangs out.
It sets a great example of how to build hype around a simple product with just amazing Marketing!
Are Rhode products any better than your local skincare brand❓
I think pretty much the same.
But the demand is crazy.
That’s the power of Marketing ❗️
hayley’s products have never appealed to me. like cool another famous girl starting a beauty brand, how novel (thank queen Riri first) i feel like they capitalize on the clean girl / cool girl reading joan didion aesthetic and while i agree that the delayed launch for products to create fomo is cool, Kylie used to do the same with her lip kits. i think it’s time for a more down to earth, gen z self care which isn’t about having 13 steps of overly expensive and perfectly designed products but something more useful. i think makeup marketing should start to look like the ryanair marketing where they’re like “it’s not the best but at least it’s cheap” which gen z loves or the absurdist kfc ads which are sooo popular
I agree with you. the marketing of Rhode is something else. The photoshoot that they shoot for every product, the vision of Hailey and the way their PR team shows this products makes us buy too. I live in Turkey where Rhode doesn’t have shipping to but people who can buy it from other countries sells these products almost twice a price…
